**Forecast models from sources including the National Weather Service, WeatherBug, and LocalConditions consistently point to overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 70s°F for Houston on September 1, 2026, with the minimum temperature most likely falling in the 76–79°F range.** This positions 78–79°F as the leading outcome at 73.5% implied probability, driven by a warm, humid subtropical air mass, light winds, and high dew points that limit radiational cooling overnight. Expected cloud cover and scattered showers or thunderstorms—common in late-summer Gulf Coast patterns—further moderate temperature drops by trapping heat near the surface. Recent model runs show high temperatures near 85–95°F during the day but little change in the nocturnal minimum, aligning with climatological norms for early September when average lows hover around 74–76°F. Lower-probability colder outcomes (e.g., 72–73°F or below at ~39–42%) would require clearer skies and stronger northerly flow, while warmer bins (84–85°F+) reflect scenarios with persistent cloudiness or stalled fronts. No major tropical systems or abrupt pattern shifts are indicated in the latest guidance, keeping trader focus on these stable late-summer conditions.
