This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Nebraska. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Nebraska, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The closely contested Nebraska Senate race between incumbent Republican Pete Ricketts and independent Dan Osborn, with recent polling averages showing Ricketts ahead by roughly 1 to 6 points, sustains trader uncertainty around total ballots cast and keeps multiple turnout ranges clustered near the top probabilities. Primary participation reached 28.5% of registered voters in May, with Democratic turnout exceeding Republican levels for the first time in decades, though overall figures fell from the prior midterm cycle. With roughly 1.23 million registered voters split among Republicans, Democrats, and nonpartisans, campaign mobilization, early voting that begins October 5, and get-out-the-vote spending by both sides will shape final participation. Historical midterm patterns and the absence of a Democratic nominee after the July withdrawal further limit separation among the leading outcome buckets.
