This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Rhode Island. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Rhode Island, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Trader consensus centers on 350K-400K total ballots cast in the November 3, 2026, Rhode Island U.S. Senate general election, priced at 51.2%.** This range aligns with historical midterm turnout patterns in the state, where eligible-voter participation has typically fallen in the mid-40% range in non-presidential years. Rhode Island’s registered voter base and recent primary data support expectations around this level, with the concurrent gubernatorial and state legislative contests providing a modest turnout floor. The race features long-serving Democratic incumbent Jack Reed seeking a sixth term against Republican Raymond McKay in a contest rated Safe or Solid Democratic by multiple forecasters. Polling averages show Reed ahead by roughly 18 points, consistent with the state’s partisan lean. Low competitiveness in the top race often limits additional mobilization compared with battleground contests, while the September 9 primaries demonstrated steady participation without unusual spikes. No major late-breaking developments or national events have shifted the baseline outlook in the past month. Turnout will ultimately hinge on standard midterm factors such as voter registration trends, early and mail voting rates, and mobilization by party organizations ahead of Election Day.
