The Trump Gold Card program, launched via executive order in September 2025 and opened for applications in December 2025, offers a $1 million individual contribution (or $2 million corporate) plus fees for expedited eligibility under existing EB-1 and EB-2 immigrant visa categories. Trader consensus heavily favors 1-100 cards sold in 2026 because actual uptake has remained minimal despite early administration projections of tens of thousands and revenue claims exceeding $1 billion. Court filings and April 2026 congressional testimony confirmed only 338 requests, 165 fee payments, 59 petitions, and a single approval through mid-year, with processing timelines aligning to standard visa backlogs rather than the promised acceleration. Ongoing litigation challenging executive authority, combined with limited visa availability for high-demand nationalities and absence of subsequent surges, has reinforced expectations of restrained volume through the remainder of the year.
