Recent FOMC meetings, including the July 29 decision with three dissents favoring a hike, and Chair Kevin Warsh’s data-dependent communications have reinforced a hawkish tilt, with the June dot plot showing nine officials projecting at least one increase by year-end. Labor market resilience and solid economic growth have further reduced urgency for easing. Traders now price limited odds of cuts in 2026, shifting focus to the September 15-16 meeting and incoming August CPI and employment data that could sway the next policy move.
