Lorenia Valles Sampedro leads trader pricing at 48.5% as the implied favorite for the 2027 Sonora gubernatorial election, with Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas at 14.7% and Javier Lamarque Cano at 11.5%. Multiple June–July 2026 polls show Morena holding a wide lead in statewide party intention (35–53%), while Valles consistently tops or near-tops Morena’s internal preference surveys ahead of Lamarque and Célida López. Opposition support remains fragmented across Movimiento Ciudadano, PAN, and PRI, with no single challenger consolidating. The race stays tight because party nomination processes and potential alliances remain unresolved a year out, and head-to-head scenarios show Valles competitive but not dominant against Colosio or Astiazarán. Recent candidate registrations and early campaigning have not yet shifted the consensus reflected in current prices.
