This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Buckley Space Force Base Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 31 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=kbkf This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models and official guidance from the National Weather Service point to a daytime high in the mid-80s for Denver on August 31, 2026, aligning with the market's heavy weighting toward 84-85°F (58.5%) and 86-87°F (40%).** Current conditions feature mostly cloudy skies, southwesterly winds shifting easterly, and a 30% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms, which limit solar heating and keep temperatures near or slightly above the 1991-2020 climatological average high of 84.5°F. Multiple sources, including airport observations and local forecasts, converge on highs of 80-86°F, with the strongest consensus around 85°F. The very low probabilities assigned to 88°F+ or sub-80°F outcomes reflect the absence of extreme heat or strong cold advection, plus the moderating effects of cloud cover and moisture. As the day progresses, traders are closely monitoring real-time temperature readings and any updates to storm timing, which could nudge the final daily maximum within the narrow 84-87°F band.
