**Delegado Éder Mauro leads the market for second place at 63.5% amid a fragmented field where Helder Barbalho (MDB) consistently tops polls as the likely first-place finisher.** Recent AtlasIntel and Quaest surveys from August–September 2026 place Helder in the lead with 21–43% support in combined or first-vote scenarios, leaving a competitive contest for the second Senate seat among center-right and center options. Éder Mauro (PL) polls at 14–26% in these surveys, bolstered by his federal deputy record and PL-aligned base, while Zequinha Marinho (Podemos) trails at 7–15% despite incumbent visibility. Celso Sabino (PDT) and Chicão (União) register lower single-digit to mid-teens shares. High undecided and split-vote shares in the dual-ballot system, plus limited recent shifts in candidate positioning ahead of the October 4 vote, sustain trader pricing that favors Éder for the second slot over alternatives.
