Democratic incumbent Greg Landsman holds a strong position in Ohio’s 1st congressional district heading into the November 2026 general election, following his primary victory and the settlement of the Republican contest won by Eric Conroy. Recent redistricting shifted the Cincinnati-based seat slightly rightward to R+1, making it more competitive than under prior lines, yet forecasters such as the Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball continue to rate it Lean Democratic. A late-August poll showed Landsman narrowly ahead of Conroy amid single-digit undecided voters. Traders appear to weigh the incumbent’s established base, fundraising, and the district’s underlying partisan lean more heavily than the modest map change or national midterm dynamics, producing the current consensus favoring the Democratic nominee.
