If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Ohio, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The competitive Ohio Senate special election between Republican incumbent Jon Husted and Democrat Sherrod Brown, rated a toss-up by forecasters and polling near a statistical tie, drives trader expectations toward mid-range turnout totals. With roughly 8 million registered voters in the battleground state, primary participation in May reached 22.6 percent—above historical averages—and featured solid Republican base mobilization alongside stronger Democratic engagement among unaffiliated voters. Economic concerns including inflation and affordability continue to boost motivation across parties, while generational divides and independent crossover potential shape outreach efforts. Campaigns' focus on likely-voter mobilization ahead of November 3, combined with substantial expected spending, positions the 4.35M–4.8M bins as the consensus cluster reflecting these balanced turnout factors.
