Incumbent Democrat Don Davis holds a lead in trader pricing for North Carolina’s 1st congressional district amid a rematch with Republican Laurie Buckhout on November 3. Redistricting completed in late 2025 shifted the seat toward Republicans, yet Davis’s incumbency advantage, moderate voting record, and consistent fundraising edge have supported his favored position. Recent polls through June showed the race within a few points, with forecasters rating it a toss-up or lean Republican. Buckhout’s late-August fine and platform ban by Kalshi for trading on her own outcome added scrutiny, while Davis’s early-September vote with Republicans to condemn socialism highlighted his bipartisan positioning in the rural eastern district. These factors sustain the current implied probabilities ahead of the fall campaign.
