Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas reaffirmed in June 2026 that the AI search company plans to pursue an IPO no earlier than 2028, independent of OpenAI and Anthropic filings, establishing this timeline as the dominant driver behind the 59.5% market-implied probability for no IPO before 2028. The firm has shown accelerating growth, with annualized revenue rising above $750 million by August 2026 from under $250 million at the start of the year, fueled by the February launch of its Perplexity Computer AI agent and usage-based pricing. Private valuations have climbed to the $20–23 billion range after 2025 rounds, with Nvidia reportedly eyeing a stake above $30 billion, yet no S-1 has been filed and nearer-term catalysts remain absent. Traders appear to view the deliberate 2028 target as credible given the company’s runway and the uncertain reception of earlier AI listings.

If no Perplexity IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "No IPO before 2028".
Market capitalization expresses the monetary value of a company’s outstanding shares, stated in its pricing currency. It is calculated as the number of shares outstanding multiplied by the closing share price on the first trading day.
If the relevant value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket.
Resolution will be based on the primary exchange’s official listing page. In the event that the relevant figure is not displayed, another reliable source will be used.
In the event of an interruption in the course of the normal trading session on Perplexity’s first day of trading (e.g., a circuit breaker or half-day), the market will resolve according to the official closing price of the abbreviated session. If no such official closing price is published, the market will resolve according to the next trading day on which an official closing price is published, treating that as the first day of trading for purposes of this market.
