**Forecast models and official guidance point to a high in the upper 20s °C for Toronto on September 1, 2026, with trader probabilities clustered tightly around 28–30 °C reflecting modest uncertainty in peak timing and insolation.** Environment Canada’s latest forecast calls for a high of 28 °C under a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 % chance of showers, especially early. Other numerical guidance (GFS-based and regional models) shows afternoon peaks ranging from roughly 25–28 °C depending on the exact hour of maximum solar heating and any brief convective cooling. Key differentiating factors include: - Cloud cover and shower timing, which can shave 1–2 °C off the daily maximum by reducing incoming shortwave radiation. - Wind direction and boundary-layer mixing (southwesterly flow may advect slightly warmer air while stronger gusts enhance vertical mixing). - Surface moisture from overnight/early-day rain, which raises the wet-bulb temperature and can suppress the dry-bulb peak. September 1’s climatological normal high is only 24.5 °C, so current guidance already represents above-average warmth; however, persistent humidity and the modest instability keep probabilities for 31 °C or higher low. New model runs and the afternoon update from the Meteorological Service of Canada will be the next catalysts likely to shift the tight 28–30 °C distribution.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=cyyz
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
