Resolution will be based on by a consensus of reporting.Paramount Skydance holds the strongest position in the Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition process, backed by a definitive $110–111 billion all-cash merger agreement, overwhelming shareholder approval in April 2026, and U.S. Department of Justice clearance in June. Ongoing antitrust litigation from 12 state attorneys general and the Writers Guild of America, filed in July 2026, has imposed a temporary pause and shifted potential closing timelines into 2027, elevating the probability assigned to no completion by the June 30, 2027 resolution date. Netflix withdrew its competing bid for Warner’s studios and streaming assets in February 2026 after declining to match Paramount’s offer, while Comcast has shown no material involvement. Traders weigh Paramount’s secured financing, foreign regulatory progress, and ticking-fee incentives against litigation risks that could extend or derail the transaction.
