This market will resolve to “Yes” if Vladimir Putin ceases to be President of Russia for any period of time between market creation and the specified date (ET). Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of Vladimir Putin's resignation/removal before this market's end date will immediately resolve this market to "Yes", regardless of when the announced resignation/removal goes into effect. If the specified individual is detained, effectively removed from the specified position, or otherwise permanently prevented from fulfilling the duties of the specified position within this market’s timeframe, it will qualify for a “Yes” resolution. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Vladimir Putin and the government of Russia; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Putin maintains firm control over Russia's political system as of September 2026, with trader consensus on prediction markets pricing the probability of his removal from the presidency by the end of the year at roughly 12% and by mid-2027 near 15%. Recent developments include his direct engagement with U.S. envoys on Ukraine peace efforts, insistence on achieving core military objectives such as full capture of the Donbas region by late 2026, and rejection of ceasefires that fall short of Moscow's maximalist territorial and security demands. Domestic strains from the prolonged conflict, including drone strikes on energy infrastructure and economic pressures, have prompted limited elite commentary on succession, yet no public challenges, health announcements, or institutional shifts have materialized. Russia's constitutional framework provides for an interim prime minister and elections within three months of any vacancy, but the absence of a designated successor and Putin's centralized authority continue to anchor low implied probabilities for near-term exit.
